Alligator Skin Technique

Jackie Topia has shared the most stunning Faux Alligator Skin technique here. I have had such fun with this tonight.

Mary K Jones made a darling card with the alligator from the Wild About You stamp set. I don't have that set, so I had to do something else.

Here's my two creations



Snake Skin!!

Stamp Set: Bugs and Kisses
Card Stock: Blue Bayou, River Rock
Ink: Old Olive, Blue Bayou, Versa Mark, Clear Embossing Powder
Technique: Faux Alligator Skin (actually snake skin :)

To make Alligator/Snake Skin, you cover your cardstock with versamark and then clear embossing powder. Run your bone folder over the embossing powder - two ways and not straight, but kind of curvy. Heat set and it's that easy!!

Stamp Set: Prehistoric Pals
Card Stock: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Versamark, Clear Embossing Powder
Technique: Faux Alligator/Dinosaur/Snake Skin :)

I have four grandsons and they will love these cards!!
